Pharmacist

Our Pharmacists are required to perform tasks to the standards set by The Pharmacy Board of Australia, The Pharmacy Guild and QCPP. Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Day to day management of store, dispensary and team operations

  • Professional patient counselling and provide complete patient care solutions

  • Accurate and efficient dispensing of prescriptions using Dispenseworks or Fred Dispense

  • Supervise Interns, Student Pharmacists and dispensary Assistants

  • Dispensary inventory management and order processing

  • Support and grow new business strategies

Dispensary Assistant

Our Dispensary Assistants are required to perform tasks under Pharmacist supervision to the standards set by The Pharmacy Board of Australia, The Pharmacy Guild and QCPP. Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with customer service queries

  • Assist Pharmacists in dispensing medications and administration

  • Process orders & unpack stock as required

  • Update customer records

Intern Pharmacist

Cincotta Discount Chemist is committed to developing the next generation of Pharmacists throughout Australia. We provide our Intern Pharmacists with opportunities to set the foundations for a successful career as a Pharmacist. Through the process on-the-job training along with higher education training, we are able to successfully guide Pharmacists into future management and store ownership positions.

Cincotta Discount Chemist Intern Pharmacists are required to perform tasks under Pharmacist supervision to the standards set by The Pharmacy Board of Australia, The Pharmacy Guild and QCPP. Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with scripts in/out and dispensing

  • Customer Service - Ensuring all scripts are processed and delivered within the expected timeframe

  • General Dispensary administration

Retail Manager

Our Retail Managers are required to lead a team of floor staff as well as managing the day to day operation of the pharmacy. Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing, promoting and supporting the retail team

  • Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers

  • Assist with any customer complaints

  • Principal point of contact for store and wholesalers

  • Coordinate all aspects of in-store marketing

  • Maintain workplace Occupational Health and Safety

Pharmacy Assistant

Our Pharmacy Assistants assist our customers with their healthcare needs and to support our day-to-day store operations. Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing customer purchases

  • Replenish and rotate stock, face up displays as well as check product expiry dates

  • Set up displays for catalogue promotions

  • Complete planograms and ensuring all price tickets are displayed correctly

Store Person

Our Cincotta Discount Chemist Store Persons are responsible for managing all incoming stock deliveries to the store on a daily basis. Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Control all storeroom stock

  • Accept stock deliveries

  • Repetitive movements and some heavy lifting regarding stock

  • General Administration duties

Naturopath

The primary role of our Qualified Naturopath is to assist customers with a range of complementary remedies whilst in store. Cincotta Discount Chemist Naturopaths work predominantly in the vitamins and natural health care sections of our stores and at times also have the ability to do private consultations dependant on location. Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist customers with natural medicine queries

  • Provide consultations about diet and lifestyle

  • Prescribe vitamins, natural supplements and traditional medicines

  • Process orders and maintain stock levels

Baby Nurse

Cincotta Discount Chemist baby nurses are qualified nurses who provide advice, resources and recommendations relating to such things breastfeeding, nutrition, sleep, advice on immunisation and any other health concerns.

  • Assist customers with baby health advice and recommendations

  • Assist with nutritional advice and support

  • Assist with product recommendation where required

Support office  

Our Support Office, located in Rhodes, New South Wales provides day-to-day operational support and specialist expertise to all Cincotta Discount Chemist stores across Australia to ensure we deliver and achieve maximum customer satisfaction. Various key departments are housed within the support office to support continuous growth and achieve excellence. The departments include:

  • Marketing

  • Operations        

  • Merchandise

  • Information Technology

  • Network Development

  • Administration

  • Finance
